   What kind of race?

   Drag?

   Slalom?

   Drift?

   Autocross?

   Rally?

   There’s more than just one type of “race”.

   And please don’t say drag, since that proves absolutely nothing about a car, except how it accelerates.There’s a lot more to a car, than that.

   the chevy impala ss has balls but the mustang has more top speeed so the impala would kill the mustang in the 1/4 mile

   I’d put my money on the Impala. 260hp and 330 lb-ft torque. I know it’s a big heavy car, but I think it would beat a V6 Mustang.

   I have a 95 Caprice wagon with an LT1, K&N cold air kit, Magnaflow exhaust. I’ve beaten v6 mustangs, 4.0 H.O cherokees, crown vics, I even ran neck and neck with my buddies marauder. At about 55 or so he pulled away a bit. I think the Impala’s gear ratios and computer programming are different than my car. The Impala will ***** the V6 mustang. V8 mustang would be a different story.
